The Story of a Witch: Part Three

The girl-witch realized that she could see

Thru walls and

Around rules.

People would say,

“That way’s closed girl, get to the main road.”

When she followed the sparkles and whispers.

At first, she spooked easy, and

flinched quickly away.

(Seeing the unseen and

knowing the unknown is,

after all,

A big job for just a

Girl-witch.)

But the wood’s wound healers and nerve easers and life givers,

Growing wild through sidewalk cracks whispered,

“We see thru those walls and rules too!”

And after enough side-eyed conversations with the wild woods,

When the people would say,

“That way’s closed girl, get to the right road!”

The girl-witch would smile with a

Glint in her teeth.

She pulled her palms thru

the weaver’s webs and

Figured out how to

Walk on.
